Frequently asked Questions
I live in Sun City West and have been to multiple hearing aid providers already. What is different here?
Sun City West and the surrounding active adult communities are heavily marketed to by hearing aid retailers, so it is common for our patients to have been through two or three providers before reaching us. The most common feedback we hear is that previous providers fit a device, charged for it, and then made follow-up adjustments difficult or expensive. Our model is different: ongoing care, programming changes, cleanings, and support are all included in your monthly treatment plan. You are not buying a product from us. You are starting a long-term care relationship.
My hearing aids are 5+ years old and not working as well as they used to. Should I just replace them?
Not always. Most prescription hearing aids start to lose performance after about 5–6 years, but many devices that feel “off” simply need cleaning, reprogramming, or new accessories, not full replacement. Bring your current devices to your evaluation. We will assess them honestly and tell you whether they need service, replacement, or just a programming update. We will not push new devices on you if your current ones still have life in them.
Can I bring my spouse or adult child to my appointment?
Absolutely, we encourage it. Hearing care decisions affect everyone close to you, and a family member often catches details from the conversation that you might not. For patients with caregivers or adult children involved in their healthcare, having that person present makes treatment decisions easier and helps with follow-through afterward.
