We are an independent clinical hearing care practice, not part of any hospital network or larger medical group. How well do hearing aids handle Arizona summers?
Modern prescription hearing aids are designed to handle a wide range of climates, including extreme heat. The bigger concerns in Arizona are sweat and dust, both of which most current devices are rated to resist. We recommend a daily wipe-down and overnight storage in a hearing aid dryer, which is a small device we will demonstrate during your fitting. What is the relationship between hearing loss and tinnitus?
The two often go hand in hand. When the ear no longer sends a full range of sound signals to the brain, the brain sometimes generates its own, that is what tinnitus is.
