Dr. Jaslean Ahuja-Michals, Au.D: Credentials & Patient-Centered Audiology
Dr. Jaslean Ahuja-Michals was inspired to become an audiologist by her uncle. Watching how much his life, and his marriage, improved once his hearing loss and tinnitus were properly treated showed her exactly the kind of difference she wanted to make. She double-majored in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and Psychology at the University of Arizona before earning her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco.
ASHA certified, Dr. Ahuja-Michals built the externship program at Hearing Services of Santa Barbara, where she became the first student doctor to step into a full-time provider role. She believes strong rapport is at the heart of better hearing, and she wants every patient to feel they have received truly personal care, and to leave with a smile. Beyond the clinic, she gives educational talks throughout the valley, volunteers monthly at independent living facilities, and shares approachable tinnitus education with a wide audience on social media.
